How to make a claim
with TrustedPals

If your pet ever gets sick or injured, you'll be able to claim back the cost of treatments covered by your plan.
As soon as you have the vet's bill, you just need to send us a copy and we'll sort the rest.

Making a TrustedPals claim only takes a few minutes, and we aim to pay all claims within 10 working days.
If we need more information, we'll ask your vet directly.
(Because your pet needs you more than we do if they're under the weather.)

Before you start your claim, remember we have an initial 14-day waiting period – most other pet insurance providers have this too.
Claims can be submitted for vet expenses that you incur on the 15th day forward.
Take a look at your policy details (one policy per pet), as it will indicate your policy effective date – log into the Pawtal if you need your policy.
Here are a couple of examples to help you:
Example 1: Your policy effective date is September 3, which is day 1.
You’ve waited 14 calendar days and incurred a covered vet expense starting on September 17 forward.
A claim request can now be submitted.
Example 2: Your policy effective date is September 23, which is day 1.
You’ve waited 14 calendar days and incurred a covered vet expense starting on October 6 forward.
A claim request can now be submitted.

If you already know how to do it, you can log into the Pawtal right now to make a claim.

Here's how it works

Claims FAQs

Simple guide for your humans to submit claims when you get sick!

It's always worth claiming - even if it seems like a small amount.  Accepted claims will all go towards paying your annual deductible (if you have one) and might mean you pay less towards future claims in the same plan year.

Yes - but not at the same time. Please make separate claims on each pet's plan with us, checking that the vet has split out the costs for each pet on your bills before sendlng these to us.

Sure.  We'll normally just ask to see your vet's bill, but if you make a claim and want us to we see something else too, you can send us 'supporting documents'.  Your dedicated Pet Advisor will take a look at these too.

We base claim payments on your vet's bill, after accounting for your reimbursement and deductible of your plan. And if your plan has a limit, we won't payout more than that amount in total during a plan year - no matter how many claims you make.
